Laveena Monis, FNP-C, is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with a Master of Science in Nursing degree from West Coast University, Los Angeles, California. She started her journey in healthcare when she graduated with a BSC in nursing from Manipal Academy of Higher Education University, India. She has over 18 years of experience in the healthcare field as a nurse in acute care in different clinical areas like medical-surgical, oncology, cardiovascular step-down unit, PICC line insertion and home discharge teaching. She strives to always learn more and advance her knowledge which lead her to advance her career as an NP. She also believes in the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle and a patient centered approach to disease prevention and management by developing a care plan personalized for each patient.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, gardening, DIY home improvement projects, watching crime mystery shows, traveling, hiking and other outdoor activities.
